The AJPW Triple Crown changed hands at the AJPW Deadlock Tour, as “Big” John Tenta became the new champion, ending the reign of Stan “The Lariat” Hansen after ten title defences. The former WWF and WCW main eventer is currently a huge star in Japan and working for WAR, All Japan and UWFi has really helped Tenta to taken his wrestling skills to the next level.


WWF’s latest In Your House PPV took place this weekend. It was decent, but forgettable. Savio Vega debuted, doing a run-in during the Razor Ramon match pretending to be a fan. They also legitimately gave away a house to a fan who was watching the show and won the contest.

WWF held their final show at Boston Garden, bringing in several former old-time headliners like George Steel, Arnold Skaaland, Killer Kowalski, Chief Jay Strongbow, and others. 5 Star match! It’s rare that we see a genuine “five star” match, but last night certainly delivered in a big way when Kenta Kobashi defeated Mitsuharu Misawa at the AJPW Deadlock Tour. The must-see match is bound to feature heavily in the voting for Match Of The Year.


Rey Mistero Jr. seemingly debuts a new, incredible move every week that no one has ever seen before. Wrestling expert Dave Meltzer calls him the “Human Highlight Reel”.


In UWA news, it is being reported that Cibernetico has apparently been spoken to by police after leaving several “threatening” messages for Villano III, head booker of the promotion. The cause of friction between the two is unknown, but insiders have commented that there’s a lot of bad blood and that it would not be a surprise if Cibernetico was on his way out of the company soon.

It is rumoured that he will debut as “Borne Again” a character that is having a mental breakdown after his time in the WWF as a clown and not getting taken seriously in ECW. He will became ‘Borne Again” a wrestler suffering from a split personality with one half of his face painted in Doink makeup, while the other half is his real face. When Borne Again defeats an opponent, he will dress up that wrestler as his previous “Doink The Clown” persona.

The Iron Sheik will retire and finally making the switch from active competitor to member of staff. It is currently unknown what role he will be taking, or with whom.
