Highlights of Ice Train vs. Scott Norton [from Worldwide]

Muscle mountain Scott “Flash” Norton squared off against charismatic powerhouse Ice Train. The bout ended in a double count out when both men clotheslined the other, knocking each out. In a bout that had decent wrestling, but didn’t have much heat, Ice Train drew with Scott Norton in 5:43 following a double count out.

After the match, Ice Train and Scott Norton shook hands and Norton explained to announcer Mike Tenay that he felt that they would make a formidable tag team because of their similar power-based wrestling styles. Teddy Long suggest that the tag team should be named “Fire and Ice”…

Fire and Ice w/ Teddy Long vs. Southern Posse

In a bout that had hard-hitting wrestling, the powerhouse duo Fire and Ice easily overpowered and destroyed brawlers Southern Posse in 2:54 when Scott Norton defeated Rick Thames by pinfall with a Flashback followed by a Train Wreck.

Interview w/ Fire and Ice

Mike Tenay had an interview with Teddy Long hyping his clients Fire and Ice, the powerhouse duo Ice Train and Scott Norton. Teddy Long says that the team will establish themselves as a legitimate contender for the WCW World Tag Team Championship, using their size and power to overpowered all opponents. Teddy Long says that Fire and Ice are stronger; that they hit harder than every other tag team in WCW and he is not afraid to say that they are aiming for the WCW World Tag Team titles.

David Walby and Leroy Howard vs. Harlem Heat

In a bout that had sub-par wrestling and little heat, the tough and cocky duo Harlem Heat defeated David Walby and Leroy Howard in 5:21 when Booker T defeated David Walby by pinfall with a Heat Bomb.

The Armstrongs vs. Mark Starr & Frankie Lancaster

In a bout that had sub-par wrestling and little heat, The Armstrongs III defeated Mark Starr and Frankie Lancaster in 5:03 when Brian Armstrong defeated Frankie “The Thumper” Lancaster by pinfall with a Shake, Rattle and Roll.

In an squash match, dominant monster heel “Big” John Tenta defeated jobbers Eddie Golden and Stan Lee in 1:58 when John Tenta defeated Stan Lee by pinfall with an Avalanche Splash.

After a break, we’re with Gene Okerlund

A vignette on “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair airs, showing highlights of some of his best promos through the years. They’re all different promos talking about how he wrestles, intertwined with him putting the Figure Four on various opponents.

Then a interview w/ Ric Flair and Elizabeth. “To be the man – Woooo!, you gotta beat the man! And Flair still is the man! Woooo!” He is the best pro wrestler ever and he will put Hogan in the Figure Four and make him tap out and tell him that Flair is the best. The Nature Boy is the man in WCW and Hulk Hogan is not welcome! Flair is going to drive the Hulkster out of WCW by any means necessary.

 

Mr. T will be the Special Referee for the Steel Cage Match between Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Boxing legend Muhammad Ali will be there to present the belt to the winner.

“Mean” Gene talk about the upcoming Halloween Havoc Pay-Per-View and makes the announcement that the following matches will take place at Halloween Havoc:

Spin The Wheel Make The Deal

On October 24, Cactus Jack and Kevin Sullivan will square off at Halloween Havoc. What kind of match will it be? Nobody will know until that night, when the wheel containing 12 different specialty matches will be spun. Here is a guide to bouts that will be included on that wheel:

I Quit Match: A match where the winner must make his opponent say the words “I Quit”.

Lumberjack Match: The ring is surrounded by wrestlers wielding leather straps to keep the competitors in the ring: pinfall or submission decides the winner.

Barbed-Wire Match: The ring ropes are draped with barbed-wire; pinfall or submission decides the winner.

Cage Match: The ring is surrounded by a steel cage; pinfall or submission decides the winner.

Texas Death Match: This match proceds until one man cannot continue; the other is declared the winner.

First Blood Match: The man who causes his opponent to bleed first is declared the winner.

Short Leash Match: The wrestlers are connected by a one to two foot “leash”. The only way to win is by knockout or submission.

Last Man Standing Match: A match which doesn’t end until one wrestler is so severely beaten that he is unable to answer a ten count.

Trick or Treat Match: This match begins with both opponents selecting one of two bags. The “treat” bag contains a weapon that can be used in the bout, the “trick” bag contains nothing but candy!

Texas Hangman Match: The Texas Hangman match has dog collars hung on the ring ropes. In order to win the match a wrestler has to hang their opponent from one of the collars until they can no longer continue.

Straitjacket Match: A match, where the only object is to beat your opponent to the point that you can secure him in a straitjacket. As an added stipulation, many straitjacket matches allow for a five minute beating of the loser.

Spinner’s Choice: The spinner of the wheel gets to choose the match from the 11 available match types.


 

Johnny B. Badd vs. Greg Valentine

In a decent match, “The Badd Man” Johnny B. Badd defeated Greg “The Hammer” Valentine in 7:06 by pinfall with a Shooting Star Press following botched interference by Elvis wannabee Honky Tonk Man. After the match Valentine and Honky end up in a heated argument.
